Recipe tips

One of the best parts of this easy recipe is the amount of flour that is required. These cookies only require ¼ cup of flour for a complete batch. This means that the main ingredients are chocolate and nuts. You get a rich dessert that is pretty basic to make, but full of flavor. If you prefer nuts to nuts, you can adjust the recipe accordingly. I just start to melt the chocolate and head to a delicious batch of chocolate cookies that will not last long. Just remember not to cook them too much, because they will not taste so delicious.

Benefits of chocolate that may have been lost

Chocolate is an excellent antioxidant.

The oxygen we breathe allows our organs to work, but at the same time it triggers the production of a large number of free radicals that attack the structures of the body. Cocoa contains a large amount of antioxidant substances that trap or neutralize the free radicals responsible for oxidation.

Here are some examples of comparison between the antioxidant properties of cocoa and that of other products:

Black tea: 4 to 5 times higher,
Green tea: 2 to 3 times higher,
Wine: twice as old.
The flavonoids and minerals (zinc, manganese, copper) contained in cocoa are particularly active.

Chocolate lowers blood pressure.

The consumption of 6 grams of dark chocolate, approximately two squares, would reduce blood pressure, according to a recent German study published in Jama magazine.

According to the results, this level of consumption would decrease the systolic pressure (the first digit) by three points and the diastolic pressure (the second digit) by two points on average.

The study involved 44 adults between 56 and 73 years old and whose average pressure was equal to 147/86. After an 18-week diet, with 6 grams of dark chocolate per day, people in this group have experienced a significant decrease in blood pressure. His propensity for high blood pressure was reduced from 86% to 68%. That was not the case with the "control" group who were offered white chocolate without polyphenols.

According to the authors of the study, this result of dark chocolate would be linked to the strong presence of polyphenol antioxidant.

Chocolate has an anti-stress effect.

Dark and milk chocolates contain, respectively, 112 mg and 60 mg of magnesium per 100 g.

To fight against stress and anxiety, nothing could be better than increasing magnesium intake. Numerous studies confirm that this mineral is an important element to prevent the negative consequences of stress and has a great capacity to achieve substantial reductions of plasma cortisol levels in the blood.

Magnesium deficiency leads to a loss of energy. This lack can be felt in many different ways: exhaustion, chronic fatigue, fatigue in effort ... Lack of energy often has psychological consequences because it creates anxiety. When you feel good, you have more confidence in yourself and, if problems arise, you have the energy to deal with them.

Several studies have also shown that a diet rich in magnesium reduces the likelihood of a heart attack, helps lower blood pressure and decreases the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes.

In addition, a diet rich in magnesium could have a beneficial effect in the prevention and development of osteoporosis in menopausal women.

Chocolate is healthy during pregnancy

According to a study in the journal Epidemiology, chocolate would protect women during pregnancy. Eating a good dark chocolate daily would reduce by 69% the risks of developing preeclampsia, a complication of high blood pressure.

The study, conducted by researchers at Yale University, was conducted in a cohort of 2291 pregnant women between 1996 and 2000. Scientists have estimated their consumption of chocolate primarily through the measurement of theobromine levels in the umbilical cord. This component of cocoa is particularly present in dark chocolate. The conclusions of the report show that the concentration of theobromine is associated with a lower risk of preeclampsia.

Chocolate is good for cholesterol.

Blood carries cholesterol in blood vessels. The proteins are responsible for that operation. Some of them carry cholesterol to the liver, where it is used for digestion: this is the good cholesterol. Other poorly programmed proteins tend to cholesterol behind: this is the bad cholesterol that can clog the arteries.

Chocolate and cocoa can protect the body against bad cholesterol. Thanks to its flavonoids with antioxidant properties, they lower the levels of bad cholesterol and favor the production of good cholesterol. Vitamin B3 contained in chocolate also helps reduce the blockage of the arteries.

Easy Recipes Chocolate Decadence Cookie
Birthday dessert

My children love these cookies so much that I often make them as a substitute for the cake. Since they go very well with ice cream, they are an excellent birthday party for dessert. If your kids love chocolate, you can try this recipe at the next birthday party and get rave reviews.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/8 teaspoon of salt

8 ounces of sweet and sour chocolate (60% cocoa), chopped

2 butter spoons

2 large eggs

1/2 cup of granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 ounces of sweet and sour chocolate chips

2 cups walnuts, chopped into large pieces

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350? F. Place the louvers in the upper and lower thirds of the oven.

2. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl and mix well with a whisk. Set aside.

3. Place 8 ounces of chocolate and butter in a large heat-resistant bowl and place directly in a large pan of water over low heat. Stir frequently until it melts and smooth. Remove the chocolate from the pan and set it aside. Leave the fire under the pan.

4. In a medium heatproof bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Place the bowl in the pan and stir until the mixture is warm to the touch. Stir the egg mixture in the hot chocolate (not hot). Add flour mixture, then chocolate chips and nuts.

5. Pick up slightly rounded dough spoons and place them 1 1/2 inches apart in parchment lined baking trays. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, until the surface of the cookie looks dry and firm and the centers are still sticky. Turn the sheets from top to bottom and from front to back until half the cooking time to ensure even baking. Slide the parchment paper out of the cookie sheets and into the cooling racks. Allow the cookies to cool completely before storing them. It can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
